Yuki's Blessing Day

Well here are some pic's of the blessing yesterday. I think it went well and we're grateful for everyone coming, especially Brooke, Myles and Bjorn. I know you guys weren't planning on it, but it was great to see Myles and to be able to hang out one last time as a family until the next trip in June next year.
We had a great day and I think Yuki looked fabulous, thanks Auntie Kristin!!!!
We had it at the Relief Society Room and then the get together at Shauna's place. It was nice of Shauna to let us do it as I think she spent almost an hour cleaning up her house afterwards!!!!
Dru did a brilliant job with the blessing and it was nice to see Yuki surrounded by her family in the circle. She's blessed to have so many who are worthy of the Priesthood and who love her. Thanks everyone for making our day special!!!

Photo shoot

Here are a few pictures from Myles first photo shoot. Some came out better than others but I think there were a few really good ones. It was fun to watch him move around while not clothed, I even got pooped on while he wasn't in a diaper. The things we do for our kids!

One other thing, I found this quote I really liked by Walt Whitman. "When you give, you give yourself".

Busy Week

We've had a busy week this week. My cousin came into town, Kieren. He's my mum's brothers oldest boy. He is doing a 5 months trip across the states and stopped off in Utah to stay with us for a few days. It was kinda bad timing for me as Yuki Mei is still so small and dependent so I couldn't entertain him much. Plus Dru's busy with side jobs, applications and loose ends before our trip away. So he went into Temple Square and did a few things. Mainly hung out on the internet and walked down to Starbucks to get his coffee. It was nice meeting him though, as I haven't seen him in about 20 + years.
On Sunday we went and had dinner with one of mum's missionaries who baptised her. Elder Steven Smoot. He's pretty rich to say the least and gave mum and Pete a free nights stay at the Anniversary Inn as he's a co-owner of it. How awesome is that!!!
And this last picture is of Yuki and dad doing what they love to do best.

The Big Move

Well we made it official and finally brought our tickets to NZ. We leave on the 11th of November and get back on the 8th of May. I think this is going to be a great adventure for our family! We're just leaving summer in Utah and coming into summer in NZ. It'll be nice to miss the RSV season for Yuki Mei. She's not going to know what hit her when she feels her first winter back here in Utah next year. I just hope mum and Pete are prepared for us!!! Their house is big enough to not hear us too much, plus they're hardly ever around. My sister has a weight loss and exersize programme she's going to do on me, so hopefully I'll come home a little smaller!! I think this will be good for Dru to experience working for someone else and in a different country. Hopefully law schools will see it as something extra different and want to have Dru in their class!! Third times a charm right?!
Masaru will enjoy getting to know his cousins more plus NZ has a pre-school programme that is free for 20 hours a week called kindergarten that I'll put him in!!!
I'll make sure to keep up with pic's and posts!!
NZ here we come, look out it's the Nakaya's!!!

Early arrival

Well here they are. The pictures that everyone has been asking for. I was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday without Myles. He needed to stay at the "Huntington Beach" and get rid of some billiruben in his system. My OB let me stay one extra night, but unfortunately Myles needed two nights so I left him behind. He came home last night and we have been in bliss ever since. I feel like I'm playing house in some ways, that is until the middle of the night feedings, but he's so worth all 24 hours of labor and more!(can anyone tell me how to get pictures side by side? I put them that way when writing the post, but when publishing the post they come out all stacked up.)
