Bouncy Ball Fun!!

I decided to start trying Yuki on solids this week. I'm giving her some rice cereal when she wakes up and when she goes to bed. She'll only eat about a tablespoon and it's so cute. She doesn't really get into it a whole lot, so I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it up.
Masaru was the exact opposite. He loved it and couldn't get enough.
So I'm not sure what I'm going to do there.
She loves her thumb man and so I've caught a pic of her with her daddy going hard on her thumb. I guess that's what happens when you don't put the dummy in her mouth. Mind you I put it in Masaru's mouth and he threw it out at 4 months and chose his fingers. So maybe there was not much I could do about it. Anyway she is talking a storm. I can't believe how much she just jabbers and jabbers. It's amazing.
Masaru was nothing like that.
Masaru is only starting to talk now. He's talking a whole lot actually.
A few weeks ago was the first time he told me he loved me. Man it was awesome. I always say "I love you Masaru"
And this one day he goes "I love you too mama". I couldn't believe it. It was so cute. He says it all the time now and he's just started saying prayers with me too. It's awesome. I can't believe all the things he's saying. He can't say certain sounds properly though and so I'm getting his ears and eyes checked next week just to eliminate everything.
He doesn't speak loud and seems to hear just fine but I just wanna rule everything out before I start to panic.
These other pic's are of the cuzzies having fun with the exersize 'bouncy ball'. Sarah, my sister, was making them run the guantlet. It was a crack up man. We were all in fits of laughter. The kids were loving it. We'd yell "Go" and they'd have to try and run through and not get hit with the ball and get to the other side. We played it forever. It was so much fun. So I'm glad I got a few good shots of it.
Masaru came home from kindy with a painting the other day and said it was of me. There was a part that got smudged up the top and a blob at the bottom of the paper so I asked him what the blob at the bottom was. He goes "Paint mum" I like ok. Then I pointed to the paint up the top, that had been smudged, and asked him what that was. He goes "A mess mum, a mess." I was cracking up for ages man. I thought that was the coolest thing. Cause it was just a mess. I guess you had to be there. But there really is something special when your kids start talking that makes you smile, right, all the mum's out there? I love hearing the crack up things kids say. Maybe that's partly why I love being a school teacher. Man the book I could write!!!
No more word from any other schools. Sorry. Nothing really too exciting to report about Dru and I. He loves his work mates and stayed for a "Drink" with them on Friday after work. So I picked him up an hour later and he was just 'chillin' wiht the boys with his L&P in his hand sharing stories. He calls that group of boys the "A" team cause they're all capable. I enjoy listening to his stories actually.
Love you guys

Looks like everyone is getting along great at the Hulme home. I love the pictures of Yuki eating her thumb. Myles loves his fist. It often sounds like he is having the best lunch ever. He can really go to town. Miss you!

I can't wait to hear Masaru and see how much he can talk! It will be nice to communicate with him through words rather than grunts and pointing! Looks like a great time, I'm glad you have this chance and these memories while you can.

ROFL! So the picture of 'you' was actually paint and a mess? Hmmm...Now you're going to understand why all my posts are about the funny things Kate says. I love the things 3 yr olds come up with. Does he have an accent? That'd be awesome. I personally love the finger suckers. So much easier than binkies. Nice Hiram beard Dru.

And, it will be great to see Yuki. She is so cute! You'll have to re-introduce both of your little ones when you return!
